The mountains are high and the emperor is far away

Well, at the moment the mountains are truly high, and the emperor is far away, i.e. Sis is in eastern Washington for the weekend.  So I've taken advantage of this absence of harassment to work on Afternoon Stroll.  I did quite a bit of sewing yesterday, and today I did quite a bit of ripping out.  It's the part of sewing I hate the most, but I did a bit of quite ugly stitching I couldn't live with.  Anyway, once I've wiped away the tears and straightened out the kink in my neck, I will go back to work.  Only buttonholes, buttons and handwork left, all of which I love doing.
